Horst Haitzinger (born June 19, 1939 in Eferding) is an Austrian [1] cartoonist. He has published over 16,000 cartoons so far and is one of the best-known political cartoonists in the German-speaking world. His drawings and oil paintings (fantastic realism) as well as his caricatures are shown at exhibitions at home and abroad.
Haitzinger became known as the “master of the hearty line”, who, in an unmistakable style, knows how to caricature the Federal Republic's political events unerringly and with biting irony. At least one caricature is created every day. To date, he has written over 15,000 drawings.
