JBL LSR310S Powered Studio Subwoofer (read description) - $50 (alamo square / nopa)

The subwoofer itself works fine but the XLR outputs that connect to external studio monitors/speakers/amps cause a high pitched/static noise. It doesn't seem to be a ground loop hum and I'm able to reproduce the issue no matter what outlet/location it's plugged into. The noise gets louder depending on the crossover setting (quieter on the XLF setting and louder when set to 80hz).
The issue isn't noticeable while playing audio but when nothing is played, I can hear the noise through the tweeters in my speakers. This may or may not be audible depending on how close you are to your speakers.
