Stillman Academy provides rigorous academic instruction and experiential learning opportunities to dyslexic students and struggling readers in KG through grade 12.
We are currently hiring a part-time tutor / field trip assistant. This position includes on-the-job training with an opportunity to earn certification as a Slingerland Certified Teacher. There is also an opportunity to advance to full-time work if desired.
Pay is $20-$30/hour depending on experience.
The job includes
8-10 hours a week of tutoring
6 hours a week of paid training in the Slingerland Approach
5 hours a week of paid planning time
10 hours every other week on a Saturday to serve as a classroom and field trip helper.
Approximately 25 hours/week.
Field trips may include hikes up to 10 miles long.
First Aid Certification is a plus.
Benefits available after 6 months of employment.
