We are a scholastic chess organization that has been teaching chess in elementary/middle schools in San Francisco/Bay Area for over 25 years. Experience working with children preferred but not required. We provide the chess training (you do not need to be an expert player), though you should have an understanding of the basics (piece movement/principles of the opening)

We are currently looking for instructors in San Francisco/Peninsula/South Bay. Must be reliable/professional and have own transportation. The start times for the one-hour class range from 2:00-3:45. Starting pay is $60 for the one-hour class (negotiable with experience). The position is an excellent opportunity for skill building (public speaking) as well as making a difference in the lives of children. Position is ideal for students and those looking for supplemental income. Fingerprinting, a recent TB, and proof of Covid-19 vaccination required.
