We're looking to hire a personal trainer to design, lead, and provide individualized feedback for clients in a family.
The ideal candidate:
- Qualified with recent references
- Experience working with 65 year old + clients
- Experience working with BIPOC clients
- Focuses on great form, strength training, agility and balance
- Can design great, effective workouts with basic gym equipment (e.g. hand-weights, bands, balance balls vs. machines)
- Has a great understanding of human anatomy and how aging impacts the body
- Has some physical therapy background or strong understanding/consideration for modifications based on issues (e.g. arthritis)
- Is or was an athlete!
- Can designing fun, variable workouts and changing it up weekly (looking for sessions to be 45mins-1 hour w/warm-up and cool-down/stretch)
- Can commit to set weekly scheduling
- Can lead sessions up to 6 people, will typically be 2-3 people
Training sessions would be at least once a week, held in a regular location (either at our home gym, at the park near our house (Alta Plaza) or at a location you suggest that is well-equipped). We're not interested in weight loss/nutrition/supplements guidance or training for specific events. Workouts can be up-tempo but HIIT/Cardio is not the primary focus.
If you're interested, send us a bit about yourself, any website/credentials/links/social media, your desired rate per session (not per person), and the best way to reach you for a short phone interview. Open to trial workouts as well to see if it's a good mutual fit.
