Looking for director/cinematographer for music documentary (San Francisco)

compensation: D.O.E. and is negotiable

In search of an ambitious film director/cinematographer to shoot a music documentary about a hot, local, San Francisco act.

I am looking for an utterly driven director, whose goal is to become widely known and recognized for their craft. One that wants a contract with Netflix for example. The project is to film a documentary about a promising local, San Francisco, Americana/swing band. The idea would be to chronicle the ENTIRE project, from casting the individual members of the line up to filming rehearsals, original songs, live performances and interviews of the members.

I am producer and bassist/band manager and I also write many of the original songs. Songs that have real commercial potential. I have a lot of industry connections to exclusive venues where we could film. The project would have the goal of doing something that no one has ever done before, show what it really takes to bring people together to make a commercially viable band, from start to finish.

Here is an example of the kind of music video that I have produced in the past. I wrote the song, that is me on the left "wielding" the red bass.

We have a ton of super catchy songs, I have filmed many times before and have access to several studios for filming live performances as well. There will be an entire film crew at those filming sessions. So, the burden of filming everything would not be solely on the director/cinematographer.

The end goal is to sell this project to Netflix and use the documentary as a pitch the record labels that specialize in this genre, and there are many. This way we break new ground, everybody wins and we create something that no one has ever seen before. I have a private youtube channel and I can share the links to previous live videos as well when we talk.
