This van was built for full-time adventuring and has been my escape pod for the past five years. With it, I’ve woken up on stunning mountain tops, chased fresh powder, vanished into the desert with nothing but solar power and silence.
It opened doors I never thought possible and gave me the richest years of travel of my life. The only reason I am parting with it is because I am moving abroad and cannot take it across the border. Otherwise I would never let it go.
Why this van stands out
• Custom built by Craft Autoworks as a showcase build (https://craftautoworks.com/portfolio-items/envoy/)
• Designed for 4-season off-grid living
• Perfectly set up for two people (and a dog) with huge gear storage
• Comfortable, spacious, and beautifully finished interior
• 67,500 miles, diesel engine, 18 MPG
• Over $150,000 invested
• Turnkey and ready to drive away today
I am listing it at $89,500 which is intentionally aggressive to encourage a quick and easy sale. Use vantrader.com and search for “sold” to see what comparable builds go for. Spoiler alert: this is a great deal.
Adventure-proven performance
This van has done it all. Remote BLM land, mountain passes in snowstorms, hidden forest campsites, and urban stealth camping. It has the power and clearance to get you far off the grid with the fabled Mercedes van quality and handling (drives like a car!).
In five years it has only gotten stuck once (sand) and has never had a mechanical failure. It has been meticulously maintained – I opted for the 5-year extended warranty so everything was taken care of.

Condition and upcoming refresh
To make the van 100 percent road ready for its next owner, I am planning to replace the following items before sale:
• 2 Maxxair fans
• Iceco Fridge
• Propane water heater
• One drawer back panel
This work is included in the $89,500 price. If you prefer to handle it yourself, I will reduce the price by $2,000.
Other notes: front brakes may need replacement soon, and there are small cosmetic dings from normal use (rear doors, front right tire well, scratch on hood and driver door). No rust and no structural issues.
