This is a super clean SWB Hotrod, chassis number 4580XX, its a very early production.
This car was a bare metal restoration, repainted in its factory Golf Blue Glausurit by respected 356 Speedster craftsman Roy Sasaki.
Everything in this car has been gone through. Later 911 suspension (rebuilt with new bushings), later 911 brakes, 5 speed gearbox rebuilt and shifts perfectly, new clutch, rebuilt gauges. Car is running a very solid 2.7, with Weber's - carbs just rebuilt - it runs great with a lot of power.
Restored with all new rubber seals, NOS turn signal lenses ($$$$$), new headliner, on and on.
Fresh Chris Coddington billet aluminum wheels in custom backspacing with new Avon CR6ZZ tires.
This is a SWB Hotrod you can get in a drive right now in a super rare color, in immaculate shape.
Folks have asked for more detail:
The interior is cherry, either all redone or original pieces, we did brand new factory style rubber mats which are pricey, plus the factory wood trim which was $900 from Germany. Gauges are all redone and beautiful, kept the lightweight 3 gauge like a 911R set up, with the two block off plates and added a triple-gauge from palo alto speedo which was $1,100 or so. Sourced a real 911R horn switch and installed in dash. This car is super light and agile.
The seats one perfect original passenger and a Speedster seat redone in corduroy/leather for the drivers - I have it this way because my girlfriend likes the comfy pass seat. I have both sets of seats so the car could be sold with the speedster seats or the factory orignal redone seats.
Engine set up is the 2.7 with open Weber's. Sounds great. You can see the Amber engine shroud and tin which was $1,500 or so but looks so great. Also notice the RSR style oil neck which is another $450.
For sale or trade for something newer like 996 GT3 or something I can track/race - have too many air cooled 911's
