Hi there, this car is located near Vancouver, Canada. I have for sale my father's 1995 Toyota MR-2 Turbo. This car is the holy grail of MR2's in North America being the last year of production for this vehicle on this side of the ocean. Depending what database you are looking at, there were only approximately 111 1995 MR2 Turbo's made according to the Toyota VIN decoder and this colour combo was 1 of 14. This particular MR2 Turbo has been in Vancouver, Canada for the last 17 years (since 2004) when I purchased it in Seattle and exported it to Canada for my dad so we would have matching MR2's (1994 and 1995). Alas, he has driven it very little and with age he finds it quite difficult to get in and out of, and I don't have time to deal with it as I have numerous other cars and projects, so we have decided that it's best for it to move on to a new owner.

This MR2 was imported to Canada with about 107,000 miles on the odometer and today it stands at just under 120,000 miles... so in the last 14 years it has had less than 13,000 miles driven. It's been stored indoors in parking garages with a car cover when not in use. Maintenance wise, when we first got the vehicle, it only required routine maintenance but it developed a coolant leak which, with a mid-engine car, meant the piping from the radiator at the front of the car to the engine which runs down the middle of the cars needed to be replaced -- any MR2 enthusiast can tell you this is a very expensive job, but once done it won't ever need to be done again. In addition, this MR2 spent most of its first 5-6 years in Texas before the owner moved to Washington, so the seats were quite dry and ended up cracking in a couple spots, so we had them professionally recovered at a professional local tailor shop who specializes in high-end cars such as Porsches and Ferrari's. It was done in top quality vinyl with the correct perforation pattern to match the original seats and the padding was also taken off the seat and reformed into the original shape by the shop that did the seats. Basically the seats are brand new versions of what came with the car. I also took it upon myself to order in the factory t-top seals from Toyota and replace those as the originals had become dry and compressed from years of the t-tops being in place. I also installed eccentric t-top guides from TWOSRUS which clamp the t-tops down even more and make t-top leaks a thing of the past. I've done the same thing on my 1994 MR2 as well. A few hundred miles ago, we also changed the timing belt and water pump... it wasn't time to do it based on mileage, but any car enthusiast knows that time is also the enemy of any rubberized parts, so it was decided to do this as due diligence for the new owner. The car itself is finished in Dark Emerald Pearl with a tan and black interior. Of course, being a turbo, it has a 5-spd manual transmission. Everything is stock on this car, there are no modifications whatsoever to it. Not even the stereo has been touched, it's still the factory unit. The car currently has collector plates on it, which in BC is quite difficult to get as the photograph and application process if quite strict for the condition of the vehicle -- it must be in perfect condition and have no modifications beyond period correct ones. The paint is very nice and I recently had the car detailed professionally. The front bumper was repainted as well as the mirrors due to some clearcoat failure (again, the Texas sun in the beginning of its life was not kind) and the painting was done to a very high standard as you can see in the photographs. The car has a brilliant shine to it. Only 2 areas on the exterior of the car would be addressed by myself if I were keeping it -- the black paint on the edge on the t-tops has weathered a bit and could use a refresh as well as the belt-line mouldings have done as most 1990's vehicles and dried out a bit / gotten rougher than they used to be so I would be looking to replace those or, a popular solution nowadays is to black vinyl wrap them. That would make this car absolutely perfect. Other than this, the only problem I can think of with the car is that the aftermarket alarm that was installed on it no longer works, so the remote doesn't lock or unlock the doors. Power locks work, the key can lock/unlock the doors and the red alarm light activates on the dash when the doors are locked, but the remote doesn't activate the power locks anymore. I would return the remote to a factory Toyota setup if it were me keeping it.

This vehicle is located near Vancouver, BC, Canada and obviously since there were no MR2's in Canada past 1993 it was originally a USA vehicle. I have the clean CarFax for this car available showing there are NO accidents for viewing and importation into the USA is extremely easy and cheap -- since it used to be a USA vehicle there are NO importation duties. Paperwork is simple being more than 25 years old and also considering it originally came from the USA (odometer and speedo are in miles / mph).

Good:
- Easy miles since our ownership
- Excellent condition
- New custom tailored seats matching the OEM ones
- Smooth running, doesn't burn oil, freshly maintained (new timing belt and water pump), clutch engages smoothly and accurately, brakes have great life left, tires have plenty of tread, turbo has no blowby and engages quicky and efficiently, all stock!
- Super rare vehicle, 1 of 14 made in this colour combo for the 1995 year (thanks Jim!)
- Appreciating rapidly in value, 2 examples similar to this one have sold for more on BAT in the past half a year

Bad:
- Aftermarket alarm doesn't unlock power locks anymore, should switch back to a Toyota remote
- T-top edges should have the black finish re-sprayed or powder-coated
- Belt mouldings below side windows are rough feeling
- Some of the tint has bubbles due to age, it's also outdated 1990's purple tint I would probably change this to something more smoke / grey that's more in fashion today
