Selling my 2011 WRX sedan.
I’ve owned it since 50k miles and have taken great care of it over the years. Oil changes were done religiously every 3,000 miles. The timing belt was replaced around 110k, and it’s always passed smog without issue. Just recently, I replaced the rear rotors and brake pads.
The car is completely stock — no modifications — and it’s been a reliable daily driver until very recently. I’ve loved this car, but I can’t give it the attention it needs anymore.

Current Mechanical Condition (It’s a Project):
About 3 weeks ago, it threw a P0011 code. At first, there were no symptoms, but I stopped driving it immediately and brought it to a shop. They did an oil change and cleared the code to rule out a dirty VVT solenoid. However, after driving it away, the engine began to shake — likely a timing or camshaft issue.
Due to this, the car will need to be towed.
The shop recommended:
- Alignment adjustment (~$1,000)
- Suspension refresh (control arms, etc.) estimated around $2,000–$3,000 at a shop — or much cheaper if you’re handy.
⸻
Cosmetic / Frame Condition:
- The car spent its first 9 years on the East Coast, so there is frame rust and some visible body rust.
- The bumper is cracked from hitting a low curb.
- Several small dents, scratches, and general wear.
