Selling my 2002 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 coupe, which I've owned since January 2016. I'm selling because I'm driving it very little and am moving to an apartment with less affordable garage space.
The car has been serviced the past two years at S-Car-Go in San Rafael. These guys only work on Porsches, including race cars, and are expert Porsche mechanics. Here is the work (i have service records) I've had done to the car since owning it:
2/2016 (78,612 miles) - four new Sumitomo HTR Z III tires
8/2016 (80,449 miles) - replaced drive belt, oil change
9/2016 (81,400 miles) - replaced air oil separator
1/2017 (82,064 miles) - replaced tank vent valve
7/2017 (84,097 miles) - replaced rear pads, discs, and sensors; installed stock mufflers (I bought car with louder, modified muffler); oil change
2/2018 - (85,273 miles) - Flushed brake fluid with super blue
3/2019: replace vacuum reservoir for secondary air, completed smog check, received pre-purchase inspection
The previous owner bought the car used from a Porsche of Tampa (Reeves) in 2013 and had the IMS fail on him shortly thereafter at 41,234 miles. The dealer rebuilt the engine and absorbed some of the cost. It's unclear if an upgraded IMS was used when rebuilding the motor, but S-Car-Go has been monitoring the car for signs of issues and has not encountered any. I have all service records from the previous owner, including details of the rebuilt motor.
Other features / details:
- Black with tan interior
- 6 speed manual transmission
- Optional 18 inch rims - tires are 225 in front and 285 in rear
- Alcantara headliner
- RUF exhaust tips
- Two keys and owner’s manual
- The paint is in good condition, but shows signs of being 15+ years old, including a few small dents and scratches.
- The interior is in good to great condition, with only the floor mats showing any true signs of wear. I can’t believe the seats have held up so well with the car being this old
I’ve tried to include most details I would care about if searching for a Porsche, but please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. $20,500 OBO
