1984 Jaguar XJS – Stored Since 2005 – Project/Parts – Downtown SF
I’m selling a 1984 Jaguar XJS. This is a time capsule project car which has been sitting covered in a private outdoor parking spot in downtown San Francisco since 2005. Will need to be towed away and will need work to get roadworthy again. I gather its not worth a lot and I'm entertaining all offers.
Condition:
Exterior shows some rust and weathering. Light denting on the roof and passenger door. All 4 tires are flat.
Interior is original and and shows age-related wear.
Last ran in 2005 when parked and has not been touched since. Classic Jaguar V12 engine, but condition unknown after two decades of sitting. Odomoter shows 31,377 miles. To safely get it running again, you’re probably looking at a full fuel system rebuild, brake overhaul, new tires, new fluids, and ignition work. To make it roadworthy, add suspension checks (bushings, shocks), steering inspection, possible exhaust repair, and possible electrical work.
Practical Info:
I have the keys and a good amount of paperwork, including registration documents, manufacturers warranty papers, and maintenance service documents. Title has been lost. Car is located in downtown San Francisco, in a private parking alley at my business. Must be towed away. Buyer responsible for removal. I’m open to any offers.
