1 of under 1700 manual transmission ever produced.
It’s been a joy owning this rare and truly unique classic. It’s time to let it go instead of sitting in my shop. I rather sell it and someone else to enjoy riding it. Reason for selling, I have too many cars.
I’ve owned this car since March 2020. Clean California title in hand and currently registered.
I purchased this vehicle from a gentleman who’s dad owned the car then sadly passed away. Car was in storage for many years afterwards.
Engine is a 3.5l inline 6
Miles: 25,749 km
Car is in excellent condition for its age. Not a new car, so there are dings and scratches as to be expected for an older vehicle. Car was repainted by the previous owner at one point and seems to be the in the original color. Paint is shiny, no rust issues, not filled with bondo.
The car has went thru extensive repairs and service, once it was in my possession. All repairs were done by a Mercedes Restoration Specialist Shop in Santa Paula, Ca. Total repair cost over $39,000. Over $60k invested into the car.
Recent service and repairs includes:
*Rebuilt generator
*valve cover gasket replaced
*oil and filter change
*4 new tires and balance
*replaced shift bushings
*wiring system replaced anything that was needed.
*replace front and rear air bag suspension
*Suspension height control valves and air hoses
*replaced rear trailing arm
*replaced front left and right subframe mount, sway bar, master height control valve
*left and right tie rods, recondition and install drag link, repair height control links, install front shock absorbers
*install new steering damper, handbrake cable mount
*replaced lower radiator hoses, adjust wheel bearings, adjust ignition points, replaced distributor cap
*replace voltage regulator
*replaced rear control linkage
*replace intake boot, PCV hose
*adjust clutch, timing
*replaced brake fluid reservoir
*replace fuel tank and sending unit and hose
*replace window switches, fuel injection pump, fuel filter, throttle linkage
Too much to list all that was done but just to give you an idea what was done.
Cons on the car: AC unit not installed but I have the parts. Heater and fan also not operational. I only drive the car only on nice sunny days, so never really care to have it fixed.
Car runs really strong and engine sounds great. No weird noise. No black, grey or white smoke on cold start. Car starts right up even after sitting for a long period of time.
Asking $50k obo. Absolutely no trades. The likeliness of finding a gem like this is slim to none. Guarantee you won’t find another one like this anytime soon. In this condition with a manual transmission and nice color combination.
Car is located in Oxnard, Ca.
