The time has come that i am sadly selling my beloved classic 1967 Chrysler Newport convertible.
A lifelong California car and I am the 2nd owner - had it for around 25 years in SF. The original owner lived in Marin County.
Have always done regular maintenance, tune-ups and oil changes every 3K miles, and have always only used premium 91 gas.
Never really driven much further than to Santa Cruz or Napa Valley areas.
The car is approachable with character, and not showroom condition. Everything is all original and not modified - although the original paint color was Gold - I prefer the cream/off white color.
Just painted recently with a basic $2K paint job (but door jams and engine area are still the original gold)
383 V8 motor - the engine was rebuilt around 50K miles ago or so (Odometer now reads 14,850)
Just rebuilt the automatic transmission recently ($2K - with less than 1K miles on it now)
Just had a full $2K tune-up and deep inspection done, with a full safety check. (I have loads of service records)
Brand new tires.
Brake shoes have plenty more miles left on them.
Overall it drives very nicely and is ready to be enjoyed.
Transparency Notes:
There are some light rust spots here and there.
Interior carpet is worn down, but i just ordered a $200 set of spec custom carpet mats.
Will need to re-core the radiator in the future. Will need new shocks and bushings soon.
And the convertible canvas top (with glass window) is about 10 years old, and a bit worn out, but still works fine.
Needs a new owner that appreciates these cars and hopefully has a garage to keep safe.
Please feel free to come see in person and test drive, ask more questions, etc...
