"Enchanted Evening" Alberto Vargas Patented Opalesque Paper Poster With COA, 34" x 24" MINT
This is a numbered Vargas limited edition print. #253/375. It is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
This Alberto Vargas image, modeled by his wife, Anna Mae, was originally published as an Esquire Gatefold in April, 1942.
The original artwork is part of the permanent collection at the Julia Spencer Museum at the University of Kansas.
It is printed on a patented archival paper called Opalesque with a surface that resembles the look and feel of silk.
***Published in 1990 by the San Francisco Art Exchange, in cooperation with the Hearst Corporation/Esquire and bears the registered trademark, "VARGA" signature logo applied by silkscreen.
