A RARE opportunity to own one of the very top Alberto Vargas Opalesque versions of FIRST LOVE, the very 1st Vargas image to appear in Esquire Magazine as a gatefold in 1940, catapulting Vargas into the realm of unimaginable adoration. The original painting is part of the permanent collection of the Julia Spencer Museum at the University of Kansas.
#14/15 "Archival" museum quality continuous tone fine art print. Features the red VARGA trademark on the lower right area of the print

This museum quality, deluxe edition continuous tone fine art print is printed on a patented archival paper called Opalesque which emulates the look and feel of silk. Printed by the San Francisco Art Exchange in 1986 in cooperation with The Hearst Corporation/Esquire.
It was professionally framed with gold gilded molding, an archival mat and it also has super clear plexiglass instead of heavy glass. I had this framed in 2000 and it has been hanging on my wall ever since. It looks exactly as it did when it was framed.

FRAME MOLDING - 3" wide x 1 3/4" deep.
ARCHIVAL MAT BOARD - 5" on the bottom and 4" on the sides and top. FRAME MOLDING is 3" wide x 1 3/4" deep.
NOTE - The image with no frame is what this fine art print looks like with no frame, mat or glass/plexiglass cover, although it has a black VARGA instead of the red. The other images are photos taken of the art print hanging on the wall, both at night and during daylight, that show a fair amount of reflections and varying lighting effects.
