I put a new tritium vial it it a few months ago. So the 24/7 glow will last 12+ years before it needs to be replaced. The compass still works perfectly without a tritium light-just not eye level after dark.
I now know how to replace to vial so I can tell you how to do it at the end of the lamps life span
