Hubs look super cool.
These are tubular wheels.
Backstory goes, I bought a old E.Merckx track bike from Belgium and had it shipped here to SF. I was told that the bike was owned by some Belgian pro racer back in the day. I can’t remember his name anymore, but I did find a picture of him on what looks like the same Merckx at a race in Japan. Turns out he was on the Motorola team at the same time as Lance Armstrong. I can not verify anything about this story, just passing on what I was told and what i found online.
Anyway, these wheels came with that bike. I swapped them out for clinchers.
They held air for a bit, but it would be gone by the next afternoon. You’ll need new rubber.
