If you know from Merlin, this bike needs no introduction. If you're not, the company was founded in Cambridge, MA in 1986, and set the (very high) standard by which titanium-frame bikes are judged to this day. This is a fairly early specimen either from the late '80s or early '90s that I bought several years ago from its original owner, and proceeded to improve by way of a few period-correct additions.
The highlight of these components is a Specialized FSX carbon fiber and titanium suspension fork, followed by a titanium RockShox shock-absorbing seatpost, a leather Brooks saddle, and Shimano XT chainrings, freewheel and derailleurs controlled by Suntour XC Pro index shifters.
The bike is super-light, and rides like a dream.
The frame will fit a rider from about 5'10" to 6" and an inseam of 30-32 inches.
