Nice features for commuting, riding to the Great Walkaway, or running errands around town

Mechanically the bike is in very good shape. Aesthetically it's marked up from parking and daily use. I did a solid cleaning with Muc-Off bicycle cleaner and this is as good as it's going to get.
In regards to size 5'8" or taller would be ideal. Due to the steel frame it's on the heavier side at 15kg / 32lbs much like similar bikes from Linus, Public, etc. You might consider something aluminum if you have more than a flight or two of stairs.

Internal geared hubs are great for city bikes. You can change gearing without pedaling which is handy for those times you've stopped quickly and are now in the wrong gear to get going again. Also requires less maintenance while allowing you to run a larger and more robust chain.
The Shimano Nexus Revo 3 has a 186% gear range: 1st gear = 0.733, 2nd gear = 1.00 (direct drive), 3rd gear = 1.36. In gear teeth assuming a 38T crank, it would be a 52T, 38T, and 28T rear sprocket. That first gear puts it in mountain bike climbing gear territory which is great for SF commuters that might need to diverge from the wiggle.
