This beautiful Serotta Coeur D’Acier is in pristine, showroom-level condition. The paint gleams, the frame is scratch-free, and it rides as smooth as it looks. Handcrafted in the U.S. from premium custom-butted steel tubing paired with carbon fiber stays and Reynolds fork, this model represents the perfect blend of classic steel ride quality and modern lightweight performance.
Ben Serotta in Saratoga Springs, New York, was one of the most respected American custom frame builders. Known for precision craftsmanship, fit-first philosophy, and innovative tubing designs, Serotta built frames for the 7-Eleven and Coors Light pro teams and later introduced proprietary tubing and carbon integration that influenced many high-end builders to follow. The Coeur D’Acier (French for “Heart of Steel”) was one of their most beloved models—a hand-built frame combining the lively, smooth feel of steel with the vibration damping and responsiveness of carbon fiber.
This bike is built with a Shimano Ultegra 3x9 speed drivetrain, featuring a 52/39/30t triple crankset and 11–26t cassette. It also includes a Chris King headset, Ritchey WCS stem bars and a seat post, Selle Italia Flite saddle, and smooth-spinning Shimano wheelset with plenty of life left on the tires.
