This is a low mileage 2011 S-Works Tarmac SL3, built with Shimano Dura-Ace and Fulcrum Racing1 wheels.
When it came out S-works Tarmac SL was a game-changer. Designed for elite-level racing, it features Specialized’s Az1 construction—a unique process where carbon monocoque sections are joined as one, resulting in outstanding stiffness-to-weight ratios and a frame weight under 900g. This model quickly earned a reputation as one of the best-handling and quickest-climbing frames of its era and still holds its own today as a fast, responsive, and remarkably light machine.
Frameset is built with a Mixed Shimano Ultegra/Dura-Ace 2x10-speed groupset, with a wide-range 12–28t cassette and S-Works carbon fiber crankset with Rotor Qrings 53/39t chainrings. Dura Ace brake calipers.
Wheelset is the lightweight and fast Fulcrum Racing One clincher ($1200), spinning smooth and true, with Hutchinson Sector 28mm tires that still have tons of life left. Braking surface on the rim shows minimal wear.
Other premium touches include: Zipp Service Course SL stem and handlebars, 3T carbon fiber seat post, Specialized Bridge saddle, full carbon S-Works monocoque fork
This is a perfect bike for a serious road rider looking for pro-level performance on a budget, or a collector who appreciates an era-defining frame. It’s 58cm, best for riders roughly 5’11” to 6’2” tall. Everything’s tuned, clean, and ready to ride. You won’t find many SL3s in this kind of condition.
It’s 2011 MSRP was $7700 which is around $11K in today’s money. While lower-tier Tarmac models from later years sometimes appear lower price, S-Works SLs equipped with Dura Ace or SRAM RED remain highly sought-after by collectors and performance riders—especially given their lightweight Az1 construction and racing pedigree. A basic aluminum road bike equipped with cheap Shimano Sora sells in bike shops for about the same as this S-works Tarmac. Fulcrum Racing One wheelset is also a premium addition.
