Litespeed, founded in the 1980s in Chattanooga, Tennessee, gained recognition for pioneering titanium bicycle frames. Originally a high-performance metal fabricator, the company shifted to cycling and quickly became known for its lightweight, durable, and high-quality builds. Litespeed bikes have been raced in the Tour de France and Ironman competitions, cementing the brand’s reputation for innovation and performance. Today, they continue to refine titanium frame technology, offering riders a superb balance of strength, comfort, and longevity.

Titanium frames sit in the premium category due to their cost, but they offer an excellent mix of lightness and durability. They resist corrosion and fatigue, have an exceptionally long lifespan (likely longer than yours), and provide a smoother ride thanks to their natural flex that absorbs road vibrations.

This low-mileage Litespeed Firenze features a 3x9 speed Shimano Ultegra 6500 drivetrain with an 11-26t cassette and 52/39/30 triple crank. The drivetrain shifts perfectly, the chainrings are in great shape, and the matching Shimano 9-speed chain shows no stretch.

Other quality components include a 3T Forgie stem and 3T drop bars, stainless ITM bottle cage, brand new bar tape, and a SR comfortable gel saddle.

Strong, lightweight Mavic Cosmos clinsher wheels are also in excellent condition—minimal brake track wear, spin true and smooth. The anodized finish complements the titanium frame beautifully. Continental Gatorskin 25mm tires are like new.

Bike is tuned and ready to ride.

54cm frame fits riders approximately 5’7” to 5’10”

For comparison, a new $1,200–$1,400 Trek or Specialized gets you a basic aluminum frame and entry-level Sora components. This bike offers a far better value: a titanium frame that alone would cost $2,500+ today, paired with Ultegra—a groupset that still outperforms new Sora in precision, durability, and overall ride quality.
