I’m a bike shop professional of 15 years, and you can be assured that the bike has been well maintained by myself and professional bike mechanics. The cassette is in great condition and the chain has very low wear and has a lot of life. The entire hydraulic brake fluid has been replaced and the brake pads have plenty of life left too. The only thing you may want to replace are the brake/lever hoods since they are about 5 years old, but are in good condition. They are not torn at all. The frame color is amazing and for a stock paint job it is unique. This is the gen 3 model and was the current model until the 2025 calendar year. The gen 4 model is what is available for the 2026 model year for reference. The frame can accommodate up to a 700c x 47 mm tire or a 650b x 2.1in tire.
The Drive Train Build
11 speed 2x11 Shimano ultegra mechanical hydraulic brake shifters, 11 speed ultegra rx rear derailleur with clutch, ultegra front derailleur with chain catcher, ultegra rear brake caliper and Shimano grx front brake caliper, 11 speed Sram 11-36 cassette, Shimano ice-tech 160mm xt centerlock rotors, Shimano L-type finned resin brake pads, and Praxis Zayante 48/32 hollow aluminum crank (This is the last model before it went carbon if you are wondering).
Frame
Gloss Ice Blue/ Clay/ Cast Umber/ Chrome/ Wild Fern color, FACT 9r carbon with SWAT built in the frame, SWAT bag included with sale, however the picture with the gear inside the bag is for illustration purses only and is not included in the sale (see pic).
Cockpit
Zipp SL 70 xplr 46cm aluminum handlebar with black Silca Nastro Cuscino 3.75 mm bar tape, specialized aluminum 90 mm future stem, S-works carbon seatpost (carbon seat rail included with sale, see pic), Brooks C17 saddle in Octane Blue, and future shock suspension 2.0 headset.
Wheels and Tires
Custom 32 spoke 700c DT Swiss 470 db rims with Shimano 105 hubs center lock disc and 45mm Maxxis Rambler gravel tires. The wheels are already set up tubeless with fluid.
Bike Build and Frame Details
The bike is a custom build. The parts came from an older gen 2 diverge that was on the same level as the stock gen 3 model (here is the link https://www.specialized.com/us/en/diverge-comp-carbon/p/175285?color=292661-175285). The ultegra rx rear derailleur was Shimano’s gravel derailleur before the grx came stock on the diverge and that is what is on the bike for sale. The mismatch brake caliper is due to the original ultegra failing and I replaced it with a grx caliper brake. The frame has frame guards that have protected it from dings. The crank and rear derailleur does have some dings but that is part of gravel riding! To be transparent the right seat stay did suffer damage. I had it professionally repaired by Calfee Design in the Santa Cruz area and I can provide proof of receipt. They are custom carbon frame makers and they also repair carbon too. They are top notch professionals and if you ask any bike shop professional they’ll tell you the same.
The bike has served me well and it will do so for you! The $2000 price is FIRM and is the real deal. I’m not interested in trades so don’t ask.
