This is a museum-quality set of wood carved furniture including a settee and two chairs. They are Louis XV style, and I believe they are from the late 1800’s based on the French copied style, the details, and the gold-leaf over gesso finish.
They have been in our family since at least the 1940’s and I understood they were purchased at Butterfield & Butterfield in San Francisco.
They were recovered in this green mohair fabric at some point after that. Cushions are down-filled (although they could use some more fill).
These are extremely heavy.
