oil painting of the Swiss Alps, near village called Winnifee--this must have been intended
as a tourist keepsake, dating from the 1930's--
the frame is walnut, and beautifully hand carved (diameter--13")--it is in excellent original condition, with some tiny minor flaws in the painting (barely noticable unless you inspect it carefully)

it is a wonderful work of art, reflecting a time and place where pride in craftsmanship was prevalent
