exceptional hand carved mirror and frame--made by Sterling Furniture Co--which had begun business in SF in 1882--the focus of the carving is a woman's bust centered on the crest--
acanthus leaves frame the bust artistically-in an art noveau style--the bevelled mirror has survived in perfect condition, primarily because it was held in such great esteem by the family who had owned it--the condition of the finish is original, again attesting to the esteem to which the family had held it--this piece is a show stopper!
