Odiorne (American/Paris/New Orleans, 1881-1978was friends with William Faulkner, was an American artist and photographer who was part of artistic and literary circles in New Orleans and Paris during the 1920s.
Odiorne captured a romantic, classical vision of Paris in soft focus, impressionistic images. His work is included in several public and private collections including Center for Creative Photography at the University of Arizona, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and the New Orleans Museum of Art.
Photo measures 8 3/8 x 6 5/8 inches sight in a 14 x 11 inch frame. It is archivally matted. The soft, velvety tones of the black suggest it is a platimum print, a technique often used by Odiorne at the time.
