The piece itself is 36" x 36", acrylic on wood. Inspired by Russian prison tattoos, it features two devils copulating with a blond woman. It is extremely graphic and unflinching. There are pencil lines visible in some areas that give you a sense of both the artist's hand, as well as the energy and movement that went into the creation of the piece. The pubic hair on the devils is particularly inspired.
I bought the painting with a show of drunken bravado, and, given it's size and subject matter, it has followed me around from apartment to apartment like an albatross around my neck. I'm not saying it's a bad painting, just that it doesn't really match my lifestyle. It is genuinely amazing though. Asking $600 or best offer. Please, don't lowball. Open to interesting trades as well.
