Excellent condition M1102 up for sale. Exactly the same as if you went to Doyle or Yermo and got it yourself but without the hassle and drive (16 hours round trip from Bay Area). Also it comes with a CA plate so you don't have to make those trips either. Comes with all original paperwork including a copy of the original SF97, current CA title and plate (plate hasn't been attached yet) as well as receipts from GovPlanet.
I could boiler plate some specs here but if you are looking for one of these you already know that stuff. Manuals and TM's are online this isn't brain surgery. So much info around and ideas of what folks are doing with them.... Super stout and well built. Why they are pretty popular.
This one is really nice. Brake fluid is nice and clean, no dents or dings, all the lamps work. Tires still have nubs on them. Everything operates as it should the hand brakes are awesome wish all trailers had them! There's a bit of paint rubbed off the fender wells in the bed is about it. You'll probably spend more time rubbing off the DRMO and GovPlanet writing than it'll take to touch up the bed.
I bought this to haul some stuff I bought at auction back home from Doyle where the yard is and it worked great. When I got home I simply realized that in stock form it's really suited for a HMMWV and doesn't work for the other trucks very well (I have several larger trucks). Since I have trailers that go with those (like my M105A2) this one has just been sitting. So it's time to let somebody else do something fun with it. The asking price is basically what I have in to it. I think it was about $2200 for the trailer, then CA tax, then auction fees, then the DMV fees ran the total to a little over $3k. So that's what I'd like to get. I might be interested in a trade for a dirt bike, long block MINI motor, ATV? No more trailers please I have several..... Chances are I'm going to prefer cash but hey you never know.
Why buy THIS trailer? Very simple: it's bone stock and unmolested in any way. Don't buy somebody else's idea half done; buy a stock unit like this one and build what you really want! Then you'll know it's done the right way.
You could buy and plate one for the same price but then you would have to drive to Doyle or Yermo and back and do the DMV trips. Also you never know what you get from the auction yards.... This I know for fact. Those fellas aren't exactly the delicate types.
