I’m selling this weld cleaner I bought a couple years ago for a stainless steel sculpture project. I was hoping the Electropolishing feature would leave my sculpture super shiny but it comes out a bit matte for my aesthetic needs. Clean, but not super shiny. It was an expensive gamble that didn’t pan out for my project- I only used it once for about 10 min- so now I’m trying to cut my losses and try to get some cash back. I used it so can’t return it and they have a no-return policy on all the chems I bought too.
This is a bad ass top of the line weld cleaner that retails for $6,100 plus shipping. I have another unit from Capital Weld Cleaners that is their entry level 1x30 system (that one costs $2,485 plus shipping) and this CW110 blows it out of the water with faster/better cleaning. Pair it with the different acid options for different cleaning strength/speed. It also has the 3 brush adaptor so you can cover some serious surface area. Basically idiot-proof easy to use and uses mild acids much safer than pickling paste etc. The rep did a demo and stuck his fingers in the acid to prove it…! Huge time saver if you do a lot of stainless work.
Comes with a ton of extra stuff but I don’t have a use for it including 2 unopened five packs of high amperage brushes (value: $317.90), 1 opened two pack of high amperage brushes (value: $67.10), an unused three brush adapter (value: $74), an unused two brush adapter (included when I bought the unit), an unopened 2.5 gallon of Electropolishing fluid (value: $144.50) an unopened 2.5 gallon of Neutralizing Solution (value: $106.60), 1 unopened gallon of Plus Weld cleaning solution (value: $61.05), 1 unopened gallon of Electropolishing solution (value: $70.25), and some other small bottles of neutralizing and cleaning solution included with the unit.
Add that up and you’re looking at $841 of consumables, plus the $6,100 machine itself and that adds up to $6,941… factor in $274 in shipping fees and that means the total value of this kit is $7,215 if you ordered it from the manufacturer today. It’s yours for $3,500- I need the cash but price is firm.
Happy to meet up at my studio in Santa Cruz and do a demo for seriously interested buyers only. Takes 3 min to set up just need a 110v outlet.
