I'm an incredibly quiet, clean, responsible and hard-working NS and ND- low-impact tenant. I won't have visitors or play loud music. I've lived in the Santa Cruz area for 15 years- I've been in my current location 1/3 of that time- have never been late on my rent and always promptly clean up after myself in shared spaces. I have these same expectation from the person(s) I'm sharing space with.
I really only need a small room to sleep a single bed, do some light cooking of meals, and a place to shower. Yet, a place to store my bike and tools would be huge bonus!
About me:. I'm Gen X, but look younger and still engage in youthful activities like downhill mountain biking. I'm college educated- CU Denver. I work for a surf / medical company in Santa Cruz that markets safety ear plugs and also do a lot of volunteer work in the community, like, the Barrios Unidos food pantry program, SPCA and Habitat For Humanity projects. I have keen interest in all animals, but I favor horses and spend a lot of time with horse pals in the Wilder area.
I work on the Westside and I play on the Westside so I'm looking for something that isn't too far out of reach from those spaces.
Speaking of work:
I'm a semi-skilled handyman and gardener looking for a rental that includes work trade for a very small part of the rent. I can do: light carpentry, plumbing, painting, misc repairs, organizing, weeding, some car repairs, bike repairs, and pet sitting. I'm particularly good with dogs and cats of all personality ranges- I seem to have a gift- and I come highly recommended by friends and neighbors that I sit for throughout the year.
* I currently pay $850 a month and do about 10 to 15 hours of work trade a month- so that's the target I'm going for.
If this sounds like a fit, I'd love to hear from you! R
