The room: A lovely medium sized room with a huge walk in closet. Shares a very cute bathroom with one other neighbor. Gets good light especially afternoon. It has wood floors and vaulted ceilings and vintage rounded ceiling corners with a little gas burning stove heater. The rent is $1400 with a deposit of the same. Utilities are split by everyone and range from 150-200ish - higher in winter months.
The home:
We have a large, 2 story, turn of the century home on the Westside located close to downtown and High St. There are amazing panoramic views of Santa Cruz from the Mission to the whole of Monterey Bay on the property especially from the large lookout deck on the hillside. Beautiful mature landscaping, fruit trees and outdoor spaces with room for gardening. The home has hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, claw foot bathtubs, wood burning fireplaces, and an outdoor fireplace with a courtyard. Plus a large basement with storage and multiple washers and dryers. Large basement with some room for storage and 2 washer and dryers.
This house is shared with 6 others.
About our community:
We are a group of friends from various backgrounds and paths, composed of kind hearted people with positive energy, supporting each other to be our best self and feel comfortable to be who we are in the home and out in the world. The intention is to have a great community that isn't super demanding on processing and meetings. That requires people to have skillful and considerate communication and awareness of others as well as themselves. We’re all involved in various forms of developing self awareness, personal growth and healing, artistic and creative passionate work, and loving life, as artists and creatives in fashion, film, music, comic improv and business, working as coaches, yogi’s, healers, bodyworkers, actors, musicians, and health care. we’re in our 30’s -50’s. And generally live a health conscious lifestyle. We are fairly diverse home for Santa Cruz with Asian, African, European, and Middle Eastern ancestries and would love to continue to be a more diverse household.

A potent community for deepening in connection, authenticity, creativity, embodiment, awakening, healing, and becoming part of a sweet family. The home is clean, uncluttered and aesthetically beautiful.
