I am currently seeking an opportunity in landscape construction with an established and licensed high-end firm where my experience as a Landscape Construction Foreman can continue to grow into a long-term Project Manager role. At 40 years old, I bring over 25 years of hands-on, progressively responsible experience in construction, landscape installation, and team leadership, paired with a strong commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
My technical background spans all aspects of landscape construction. I can safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment; install, service, and troubleshoot irrigation systems and ponds; execute detailed hardscape installations; and design and implement comprehensive drainage solutions. I am well-versed in soil analysis and amendments to support long-term plant health, and I regularly collaborate with local experts to create drought-tolerant, native, and edible softscape environments. I also promote safe tool use and have experience leading the construction of journey-level wood structures.
Over the last five years, I intentionally focused on developing the soft skills necessary to move from labor-intensive field roles into administrative, planning, and client-facing responsibilities. This included communication, documentation, scheduling, empathy, and navigating complex technical reporting. During this period, I also contributed to a research-heavy peer reviewed academic paper on the Santa Cruz region, reinforcing my ability to manage long-term, detail-driven projects from concept to completion.
Earlier in my career, I trained as a mechanic, gaining a strong foundation in diagnostics, problem-solving, and systems thinking before transitioning into irrigation, concrete pavers, and eventually site supervision on high-end installs. I have managed large-scale projects, including leading a 25,000-square-foot hardscape installation at Beach Break Water Park in New Jersey. My experience also includes industrial construction and large-budget projects, further strengthening my understanding of safety, scheduling, and accountability.
I am OSHA 30 certified, have a squeaky clean drivers license, am conversational in Spanish, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team delivering world-class landscape projects. I would welcome the opportunity to bring my experience, leadership, and dedication to your organization. I am seeking a benefited salary of 38.00 per hour or a non benefited salary of 50.00 per hour.
Sincerely,
Daniel Davis
