I recently replaced this 31" wide OEM brass/copper radiator with a new 4-row aluminum because I was redoing the entire cooling system, and because the PO of the truck had bypassed the transmission cooler portion to run an auxiliary cooler in the grille. Now, based on receipts that came with the truck this radiator appears to be about 19-20 years old and was purchased/installed at a Ford dealership. I would not recommend using the trans cooler portion of it because it is old and one of the inlet/outlets was not capped so it's likely contaminated. This would be fine on a manual trans truck or if you prefer to just run a stand-alone cooler. This radiator has the small orifice brass fitting on the lower passenger side that tees into the outlet heater hose from the block. The petcock is functional. I only drove with this radiator for about 500 miles but no leaks observed. I recently did a big flush using the lightwieght Blue Devil radiator flush and many gallons of distilled water because I wanted to clean things out before installing the new radiator. Although the radiator is old it does not have a ton of miles on it--maybe 110k. If I had more space I would probably just keep it as a backup but at the moment I have an excess of stuff and a giant radiator doesn't fit in anywhere. This is NOT the short and wide radiator but the more common square looking model. Fins look good and no visible growth/deposits when looking in the upper tank. So, if you're on a budget or just die-hard old school this may be a good deal or the thing could fail in 100 miles--ya' takes your chances. I would recommend running a 7lb cap instead of the factory spec 13lb as this takes some stress off of the cooling system in general. I have run a 7lb cap for about 10 years with zero issues.
Might be willing to trade for other 7.3 IDI parts.
