So, this semi-hollowbody guitar has the profile of an Gibson ES-335, but instead of humbuckers, or even P-90s like an Epiphone Casino, it has single coils. And it has 3 of them. But the switching is not like a Fender Stratocaster. It is 3-way switching with a dedicated volume knob for all 3 pickups, so you can blend the middle pickup into all 3 positions at whatever level you like for a wide variety of tonal options.
The sound itself is its own beast. It's like its own category of guitar- like teles, starts, les Pauls, 335s, etc.- but one that no one knows about. Snappy, springy noises, Italian and unfamiliar, but playful and fun. And with the electronics, you can make all sorts of variety in that sandbox.
So, why am I selling it...? I need to downsize my guitar collection for the sake of my relationship, and as crazy interesting of a tonal pallette this instrument brings me, I tend to stick to more standard sounds like a disgraceful conformist. I'm hoping someone takes this little misfit to the next level and finds strange new worlds.
Drop a line if you're interested. It's reasonably priced for a $1500 guitar, but I'm Flexible on price if you can make up for it with enthusiasm.
