This exquisite 4/4 German violin from the 1800s is a true beauty. She's labeled "Anno 1723 (handwritten 23) Carlo Bergonzi fece in Cremona". Most likely made by the renowned "Klotz" because exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail are evident in every aspect of its design. The mostly original varnish is a reddish, chocolate brown and the rich, warm tones produced by this well-balanced instrument are sure to captivate any audience. I have used this violin professionally and it is a perfect addition to any orchestra... especially Opera. As soon as you place the bow to the string, you'll instantly realize why there's an Italian label inside this violin.
I know someone truly loved this violin and used it in an opera orchestra. As a matter of fact, many musicians noticed it's high quality when I've performed on it, even with the repairs. A long time ago, something terrible must've happened but instead of retiring this high-quality instrument, they chose to have it lovingly and expertly repaired. I tried to capture as much as possible in the pix.
Handcrafted in Germany, this vintage violin has withstood the test of time, still exhibits TONS of color and maintains a sweet, singing voice, which you can experience here: https://youtu.be/_hDHslFCoag
If in perfect condition, this violin would be in the $50,000 price range IMHO. I have a professional appraisal from 2011 for USD$14,000 and this violin, in its current condition, is easily worth $20,000 today. You can buy it now for an awesome 50% off bargain at USD$6,999.

I don't want to sell but have too many violins and need more arms to play them all...LOL!
