We are looking for a woman who wants to make a difference in the lives of others and is dependable and loves to learn
Looking for help with our developmentally disabled daughter. She is a 36 year old developmentally disabled woman who presents as a young adult and who lives with her parents. Duties include: help her with dinner, do art with her, walk her dog in our neighborhood with her, listen to music, help get her ready for bed, assist her in the bathroom, and read to her while she is in bed. She is outgoing and fun loving.
She does have seizures and other medical issues, but we help extensively with training and Mom works from home, so there is a lot of support for her caregivers.
Work Schedule:
$22/hour through Cambrian Financial Management Services (includes fingerprinting, social security, and I-9 paperwork as well as CPR/first aid certification)
2 weekday evenings 6-10PM, Mondays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays (we can negotiate which 2 work best for you)
About you:
Non-smoker (of any kind)
Looking for someone who is caring and flexible
option to pick up other shifts and additional if desired through IHSS at $20.75/hour
Comfortable with providing personal care
Comfortable with communicating with the family
comfortable working with animals
Able to pay attention to our daughter’s needs
need to have first aid/CPR certification, but we will pay for class if you need that
