Tomatoes can grow as tall as 20 feet or more, depending on the variety. After some disappointments over the years I learned to avoid the short and flimsy tomato cages from big box stores and garden centers. The cages I make will provide superior support for your tomato plants, and avoid fruit laying on the ground. These durable cages are strong enough to support the weight of larger fruit, and will last decades; their height and support will increase your yield.
They are made from thick gauge concrete reinforcing wire. With 6" x 6" openings, it's easy to access the fruit. Their standard size is 5 feet tall with a diameter of 23". I can make the diameter larger or smaller, to suit your needs. See the pictures for a better understanding.
