The Cavett Accent Chair is an exclusive modern interpretation of Poul Jensen‘s original Z chair by Crate and Barrel.

*Arms are handmade custom design in solid walnut, and chair was expertly refinished.
*The original cushions, made of rich chocolate leather have been reconditioned.
*Leather and foam were steamed to correct and restore its shape.

As a lifelong woodworker and mid-century furniture restoration specialist I think the Z chair by Poul Jensen - and the Cavett chair which it inspired - is one of the most beautiful examples of Scandinavian design there is...which is why when a bored goldendoodle chewed the armrests off this Cavett lounge chair I felt challenged to repair and restore the chair to its original beauty.
I opted to re-interpret the arms using inspiration from Poul Jensen and the era. The result is a one of a kind re-design available nowhere else.
