Brand new wine bar Vin Vivant in Capitola looking for a wine bar lead/sommelier to handle opening shifts 4-5 days a week. Prior wine experience is a must. Must understand the classic regions and how to read wine labels. Extensive knowledge not required. We are willing to train someone that understands the basics, has a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic! Big plus if you have any CMS or WSET certificate!
Responsibilities:
- Opening Bar Duties
- Stocking Inventory
- Serving guests food and beverage
- Food Preparation
- Selling bottles
- Washing Dishes and Polishing Glassware
- Bussing Tables
- General Cleaning
We envision this role to be Wednesday-Saturday, potentially adding on Sundays. Shifts would be from 1:30pm-6:30pm on the weekdays and 11:30am-4:30pm on the weekends give or take depending on how busy it is.
