AudioSource has been around since the late 1970s; they are still around making surround sound amplifiers. These are speakers they made some years ago, and came from a store closure. They were all returned for probably cosmetic reasons. They ae a model LS Ten/a, and are small two way box designs, made from MDF, not plastic, with perforated metal grills. Each is 9-1/2" tall, 5-1/2" wide, and 4-1/2" deep. Acoustic suspension design, with a 4" frame woofer and 2" frame cone tweeter. 3-1/2 pounds per speaker. They have wraparound black vinyl finish with perforated metal grills. They look and sound a lot like the small speakers that used to be sold at Radio Shack. They come in both 4 and 8 ohm ratings, the only cosmetic difference being the push in terminal block in the back. They are rated for 30 watts, and were made in Korea. Each has a small metal clip for wall mounting. Despite small cosmetic issues, all play perfectly and are quite good considering their size. I have run a pair in the rear deck of a Honda Civic for years and they are MUCH better than drop in deck speakers. I have several sets to choose from, buyer has choice of impedance rating and overall condition. $20 for one pair, $35 for two pairs. Located in Bonny Doon above Felton. Email me with questions or an appointment to hear them.
