Did you know running old unserviced tube based electronics is dangerous? Well it is, and can cause damage to the gear or worse! Why buy an unsafe unserviced unit that will only cause you headaches.
Our restoration practices:
- Turntable / Changer cleaned, re-lubricated, serviced, and usually fully functioning automatic features. New cartridge / stylus installed if needed, along with a full check or replacement of rubber parts that harden with age.
- Amps and tuners are run through one week burn in minimum after cleaning and inspection but most are checked for leaking capacitors that commonly fail and get replaced. Also resistors, tubes, and other components are tested and replaced if out of spec. We will also de-oxidize all pots and connections. Bluetooth adapters may be possible for playing digital content for an additional $50.
- Cabinets are cleaned inside and out. Finish is restored, defects blended, then waxed or polished so it looks it’s best again. The top surface if needed may be refinished for an agreed upon fee.
- White glove delivery available upon request for free to most nearby Santa Cruz County areas but fees could apply if too far.
