Seeking Life Skills Helper for developmentally delayed 19 year old (soquel)

compensation: $25-$40 hour (depending on experience) plus mileage reimbursment
Parents are hiring a life skills helper for our non-binary autistic and developmentally delayed young adult (19). Need to have a car. Between 10-20 hours a week. Salary negotiable with experience ($25-$35/hr plus mileage). Needs to be fingerprinted and hired on books with an agency that parents will help coordinate. Hours are during the week in the mornings and afternoons (10am...ish-3pm...ish) or in the afternoon - parents can coordinate with you. Adventures of shopping, cooking, baking, bus riding, swimming, working out, gym classes, beach walking, library, mall visit, movie, pet store, crystal shops, laundry mat, or other places and we are also open to weekend longer adventures (San Francisco, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Pebble Beach, Watsonville).

Our kid enjoys rocks and crystals and all things magic (especially Wiccan, Greek and Roman and other dieties). Would like to read tarot, talk about deep spiritual things, all things hogwarts and avatars on VR chat. Likes history, animals, cooking and baking. Chili's, Hot topic and Wetzel's Pretzel's are favorite mall adventures. Could be talked into walking on the beach to look for cool rocks. They are smart and interesting. Tolerates some crowds, but one on one small trips out are best. Introverted, but enjoys conversation. Not looking for high energy person - mellow is best.

Parents looking for conversational person to encourage proper social engagement as well as someone who is helping to achieve physical activity, and a partner to be involved in learning life skills like shopping, riding public transportation, and cooking.

If interested, please respond to this ad and we can all meet each other in a public place to see if we are a fit. Thanks!
