Hi!
We’re looking for a kind, dependable nanny to help care for our 14-month-old daughter a few days a week. She’s generally a joy to be around — curious, playful, and currently very into exploring everything she can reach — and most of the job is simply being present with her: playing, reading, going on little walks, and helping her learn how the world works (and why the dog’s water bowl is not a toy).
During nap times, we’d love some help with light household tasks — mainly tidying up and occasionally simple food prep — nothing fancy, just the gentle magic of making the house feel human again.
DETAILS:
Schedule: 2–3 shifts per week. We’re flexible, but typically something like 11am–4pm or 12pm–5pm, depending on her ever-evolving toddler schedule.
Location: We live in the mountains about 15 minutes from downtown Santa Cruz / Scotts Valley, so reliable transportation is required (the trees are beautiful but not very good at ridesharing).
Pay: $25/hour, and we usually include a little extra each week to help cover gas.
What we’re hoping for:
- Experience with babies/toddlers and a genuine enjoyment of this wonderfully chaotic stage
- Someone who is engaged and present during the day (not on their phone constantly)
- Comfortable helping with basic tidying and light food prep during naps
- Fluent in English
- Vaccinations (Flu, Covid, TDAP) are preferred but not a strict deal-breaker
