Posting a 'barn find' - found in owner's warehouse stored for 10 years. Two owner car, last since 1979. Original CA car, purchased at Los Gatos BMW. Owner parked it after buying another 2002, this was his daily driver for years. 166K miles - engine was rebuilt about 40K ago, done with apparent 'reverse timing' to improve performance. I've done nothing more than cut/wax paint, shampoo interior, and installed brand new tires (those that came with were pretty rotted after sitting so long). Exterior has some typical rust, more along the driver side; noted most at base of front fender and base of rear quarter panel however under carriage is very dry and clean, along with rear shock bump mounts. Located replacement front fenders and can put in touch. No signs of any accidents. Interior is very clean with original Recaro seats - driver needs reupholstery but good bones to do so. One crack on dash only. No tears in carpet, just sun fade. Figuring next owner may have unknown plans, but should not take more than a tune and gas tank clean to get her up and running. Been in non-op since put away with no back fees. Pink in hand. If you know, you know.
