If this ad is up the van is for sale so please don’t ask.
Up for sale is our rugged and reliable 1995 Ford E350 Econoline cargo van with the much sought after 7.3L V8 Powerstroke Turbo Diesel engine. The van was converted to a camper in 2017 at 220k miles and has been our off-grid, adventure-seeking rig ever since.
The base of this camper, the legendary Ford E350 7.3L Turbo Diesel engine, is built to last, and is known to easily go 500,000 miles (currently 268,000) – it is actually called the million-mile motor, so with care who knows how far she will go.
The empty cargo van was insulated prior to the conversion and stays nicely cool with the custom cut Reflectix window covers in place. The van build has 200w of monocrystalline solar panels, a 200ah Renogy AGM house battery, and 20 Amp Renogy MPPT solar controller to provide ample power for two fridges which allowed us to camp off grid for days. The house battery is also connected to the alternator via DC-DC charging so you can top it off while driving. There are USB and 12v outlets throughout the van connected to the house battery.
The van is equipped with recently purchased, oversized LT 265/75R15 AT tires that create a rugged stance and 8” of ground clearance to the rear diff. We have taken this van in some gnarly off-road situations and found this 2WD van very capable on rugged terrain.
All maintenance records available. The van has been meticulously maintained and loved. We have changed the oil every 5k, as well as air and fuel filters every 15k. We have used diesel klean and cetane fuel additives nearly every fuel up. Last oil change and fuel filter on 8/9/2024. Van routinely gets between 16-19 mpg dependent on driving style and topography. A/C blows cold.
Since we have owned the van, we have repaired and replaced items listed below to ensure reliability and longevity. This van is bomber and we wouldn’t think twice about driving it anywhere our hearts desire. We have outgrown our van and are looking to rehome her to someone who will enjoy her as much as we have. If you are willing to take care of her, she will take you on weekend adventures or multi-month excursions – we have lived in it up to 3 months at a time without an issue.
