This is a Cyrus Noble Whiskey decanter from 1978, made by the Haas brothers of San Francisco, and this decanter was the last in a series called "The Gold Mine Series". Unlike most of the Haas decanters, this decanter is not serially numbered. . It is called simply "The Mine" and depicts a miner. The miner as depicted in the mine is is 7" wide, 5" deep, and 8-1/2" tall. I don't see a single flaw in a visual inspection. The decanter has been stored in its original styro halves, within the original paper box. The decanter originally held 750ml of straight 80 proof bourbon whiskey. There is the sound of a small amount of "something" in the decanter; I'm not sure if I would drink it or NOT! No COA for this piece but does include the original foil sticker on the reverse. These decanters are 50 years old and the corks are all stuck in the base and will require "picking" out with a suitable tool like a dental pick, provided the decanter is to be reused. As a display piece only, this won't be a problem. The original alcohol tax sticker is included. These are neat detailed pieces; photos don't do the justice. I also have one of this piece with no box or packing for $5.00 less. I have several other decanters available. All are in Bonny Doon. Email me with questions or for an appointment to view.
