Hello Fellow Aspiring Woodworkers,
I signed up for the Women's Woodworking Workshop at Cabrillo College in Aptos Sept 27/28 and am unable to attend. Because I had transferred the date once, I also can't get a refund but Cabrillo WILL let me transfer the course to another person. I am offering the course at $360 which is $100 off the normal cost of $460. My loss is your gain. I will be taking this course another time, it looks fantastic! I take Paypal or Venmo.

About the Class:
In this introductory woodworking class organized with women in mind, learn the foundations of working wood by hand to develop the necessary skills to build useful objects in wood, all in a supportive, inclusive environment. Though the focus is on working with hand tools, for their accuracy and ease of use, we will also take advantage of some basic power tools, to accelerate our process, resulting in a well rounded and accessible experience for all skill levels. You will explore hand carving, lamination, joinery, jig making, and non-toxic finishing, and may create projects such as spoons, small footstools, or benches. This process requires patience and some stamina! Students will have the opportunity to develop the strength and skill required to make objects with people power, and with power tools! We’ll also discuss the historic and current role of women in woodworking, and prepare you to advance your woodworking skills.
Woodworking for Women welcomes all students, and the focus is on creating a safe, supportive space to encourage you to work with wood!
Your materials fee includes your wood, finishing products, fasteners, and all other supplies and materials needed to complete your projects.
Students must wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, and clothes that can get messy!
Register early! Each class is limited to just 14 students.
