Accommodates 9mm, 15mm, and 20 mm thru-axles. We used them with road bikes and mtn bikes with 26" and 27.5" wheels.
This was the best roof rack I could find - bikes are easy on/easy off and locked securely to your roof rack without having to use cables that thieves can cut. The locking mechanism secures the bike axle, so the only way someone can steal the bike is to pick the lock or somehow break apart the rack itself.
Comes with spare keys and accessories.

You could probably get several more years out of these. We got taller vehicles and are now using a hitch rack, so have no need for these anymore.
$50 for the pair. They retail for $240 each (!).
